Maria Teresa Quiñonez

Director and Co-Founder

Teresa is a Guatemalan businesswoman and co-founder of OPEN WINDOWS. She oversees the operation of Open Windows, acts as Executive Director, and visits almost daily.

Lilian Paola Bran

Computer Instructor

Lilian began working in the computer center in 2004, but she assists her colleagues whenever necessary, as she is also a qualified teacher. “Seeing the faces of each child, teenager, and adult with a smile of satisfaction when they finally understand a problem, or are able to read and write, is so rewarding. Also, knowing that what we have taught them will help them progress in school or find a job, motivates me to continue teaching.”

Dalia Quiñonez

Teacher

Dalia is a pre-primary teacher who has been in charge of the library project for four years. She also helps coordinate activities to aid with literacy and comprehension, and to increase the children’s vocabulary. “I am filled with happiness and satisfaction to know how much the children gain from their visits here. For many, the library offers the care and attention they long for but do not receive in their own home.”
